Malaysian AIDS Foundation Kuching Gala

A special fundraising dinner hold under the esteemed patronage of YABhg Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Hajah Jamilah Haji Anu, wife of the Chief Minister of Sarawak. Themed Dedicated to the People of Sarawak, the charity represents the highest level of commitment by the state’s leadership in fighting AIDS.

Sarawak Forestry

Launch of RM2-million Beacon Project Interpretation Centre

The Biodiversity, Environmental and Conservation (Beacon) Project at Similajau National Park (SNP) which is a collaborative venture between MLNG, a subsidiary company of Petronas, and Sarawak Forestry aim to help Sarawak to conserve its marine resources. The launch ceremony attended by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who represented Chief Minister, Adenan Satem.

Rimba Rumbling

There were three event highlights under the Rimba Rumbling project which included the internship programme for forest management certification though symbolic exchange of memorandum of understanding, introduction of two publications on the conservation status of Dipterocarpacae, and the announcement of the 12 new wildlife species and a flower – Begonia Jamilahanuiana – named after Chief Minister’s wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.

13th Sarawak Forestry Anniversay Dinner 2016

The dinner was attended by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem and wife. Our Honorable presented the Sarawak Chief Minister’s Award 2016 for Best-Managed TPA to Lambir Hills National Park, while the Outstanding Honorary Wild Life Ranger award went to John Alit. He also witnessed the symbolic handing over of Corporate Adopters of Tree Plots for the ‘Bring Back the Forest’ project at the Piasau Nature Reserve in Miri.
